What this website collects, which is very little.
Browsing
You can browse every listing on this site without an account and without signing in. We do not ask for your name, your email address or your phone number to look at a rental.
Saved rentals
Tapping the heart on a listing stores its identifier in your own browser. It never leaves your device, is not sent to BalayKu, and is not shared between your devices. Clearing your browser data removes it.
What a landlord sees
Nothing, until you contact them. Inquiries are made by phone or email directly to the landlord, so what you send is between you and them.
The BalayKu Verified badge
A landlord shows the badge after BalayKu has checked their government ID and matched it to a selfie. Trusted service providers process those photos for a few seconds, under contract; we keep only the result, and the photos are deleted straight after the check. This site never shows a landlord's name: you learn it when they reply to you.
Landlord and tenant records
The BalayKu app holds tenancy records for landlords who use it. None of that is reachable from this website: it can read published listings and nothing else, and that restriction is enforced by the database rather than by this page.
Visit statistics
We use an analytics service to count which pages of this site are opened, so we know which rentals and searches people use. It sets cookies in your browser that let it recognise a returning visitor, and records the page address, the site you came from, your approximate location and the kind of device and browser. It does not receive your name, email address or phone number. Pages that open a lease or a rent payment from an email are never counted. You can block or clear these cookies in your browser settings without losing anything on this site.
